Hi folks

It's been a while since there was any news here on the Holistic Habitats website. In the three years of operation my region has since catastrophic fires, floods and landslides. The services of bushland regenerators is needed now more than ever in my opinion. Over the course of these three years and the ongoing evolution of my business I have refined my methodologies and practices. The end of the year has given me a chance to update the website with more specifics about what services are offered by Holistic Habitats. Thanks for stopping by!

While Holistic Habitats has been many years in the making, the business will be making its first public appearance next month at a local landholder information day. As a contractor to Lismore City Council (LCC), Tristan will be helping to provide expert advice on chemical-free bush regeneration and land management techniques to up to 40 local landholders.

On May 24, 2019, LCC is holding a Property/Site planning for Biodiversity Improvement Projects field day in The Channon. The event will promote low chemical and chemical-free land management techniques, including a presentation on low-chemical trials on woody weeds by Bioherbicides Australia. Other topics may also include:

· Best practice weed and low chemical control options

· Erosion management and stabilisation

· Waterways and wetlands management

· Farm Forestry opportunities

· Stock and fencing management

· Improving fish habitat

· Restoration and regeneration options

· Monitoring and documentation

· Costing and resourcing projects

· Additional funding, benefits and partnerships.

For further information contact LCC's Rural Landholder Extension Officer, Kate Steel, on (02) 66250435.
